5 TIPS FOR GLOWING SKIN:
1) EAT FRESH FRUIT & VEGETABLES
Make sure that you are getting adequate amounts of fresh fruit and vegetables on a daily basis as this is reflected in your skin. Getting in your greens as well as sufficient protein and vitamins is extremely important. For some great recipes and tips buy: Good to Glow
2) EXERCISE
Getting regular exercise on a daily basis will help with your blood circulation, and also accelerate your metabolism and the cleansing process of your entire body. You will notice a glow on your face after working out. Anything from a brisk walk around the block, jogging, yoga, pilates, bootcamp or a gym session.
Make sure to apply a toner to help minimize oil production before heading out for a work out and exfoliate after. You could mix some essential oils with a body butter or olive oil to moisturize the skin. Tips from Lorna Jane, Jess Sepel and Christiane Duigan buy: The Game Changers.
3) BEAUTY SLEEP
If you can sleep for at least 8 hours every night, then your skin will be as well rested as you. If you look tired then so will your skin. Apply a face mask like La Prairie’s one above of for a natural alternative, use honey on your face twice a week to soothe and heal your skin. Wash and moisturize your face before going to bed.
4) HYDRATE
Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily, if not more. Also, incorporate more fruits and vegetables that have a high water content such as pineapple, watermelon, cucumber, orange and strawberries. Sip herbal teas through the day and use rose water to help prevent puffy eyes in the morning. Try Sodashi’s Rose Water here.
5) TAKE TIME OUT FOR YOURSELF EACH DAY
It’s really important to de-stress. Take time out each day to relax the mind. It could be as simple as a walk around the block, meditation, breathing techniques, massage or a yoga class. Stress causes your body to produce cortisol and other hormones, making the skin more oily and tired.
