Attending one of my first ever Paris Fashion Weeks, Haute Couture for FW17 this July was an incredible experience and one I won’t be forgetting any time soon. The talent seen through out Paris Fashion Week is remarkable and not just by some of the big maison houses in France but also what some of the fashion schools in Paris are producing as well. Its all on a level above anything you can really comprehend. For those of you who missed it on instagram, you can find it all below.
Here were the top 5 trends from Haute Couture (Paris Fashion Week)
Deep V Neck
Deep v necks were on display throughout most of the shows of Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture. Seen in Elie Saab, Chanel, Ziad Nakad, Tony Ward and Julien Fournie.
Keep it Sheer
Sheer silks and organza were used over dresses and frocks. Seen in Yanina Couture, Chanel, Valentino, Elie Saab and Julien Fournie
Be Jewelled
Jewells were on display over shoes, bags and on garments. This trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere soon. Shown on Ziad Nakad, Chanel, Elie Saab, Tony Ward and Julien Fournie.
Feathers/ Flowers
Feathers and flowers painted and sprayed were seen through out to convey a 1920’s hollywood theme. Seen in Tony Ward, Guo Pei, Elie Saab and Scognamiglio
Collars/ Short Capes
Shakespeare inspired collars and capes were huge on the runway this season, portraying a very medieval theme. Seen in Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino and Giambattista Valli.
